serendipity

in my life, i have been fortunate enough to always bump into "help" when i really needed it. it comes in various forms and always very unexpected. almost always, it is provided by people i have only met purely by chance at the time.

"life is about what you do, not what you own" says a polish lady i met in a little magical garden. during the course of our conversation, she regurgitated many quotes and blew me away with her wisdom, but this is one that resonates with me. (i'm sure the actual quote wasn't worded in this way, but this is my interpretation)

the contents of our conversation spans from career to travels that we have done. by the end of the short conversation, i feel empowered in regards to career choice. she made me feel proud to be working towards becoming an early childhood educator. though after speaking with her, i am also forced to resign myself to the impossibility of my seeing everything the world has to offer. still, she encouraged me to continue trying to see and experience as much as i could.

her words are truly encouraging and empowering. i truly am thankful to encounter such a worldly and inspirational woman.
