those little annoying things
What is this meticulously annoying game that men (and by men I mean ex-boyfriends, ex-lovers, flings, whatever label you want to give them) play by briefly contacting you, letting you know they're still alive? The next thing you know, they're gone again.
Why do they bother seeking contact?
Did I ask for it?
No.
Do they want it?
I don't think so, otherwise they wouldn't be so eager to quickly disappear again before I respond. If I respond.
There is nothing to be irritated about from my part, but if you're only going to say hi and vanish, then please, don't bother. I'm not interested.
In fact, why not just disappear altogether? That would be a wiser choice for you as I will drown you in my bitterness and cynicism if we ever uphold any form of contact. I can guarantee that you won't like it one single bit.
