through the looking glass

It's like window shopping. You can admire, desire and envy all you want. The only problem is you can't touch, or say anything or get involved. Or least even if you tried, you would notice you are still standing outside the store. Sometimes life can be like looking through the glass. You see the smiles but you don't feel the happiness. Laughter and conversations resonate, but all you hear is silence. All the commotion that is going around you, but you are not really there. Or least you just rather not be there.

You search for tranquility and peace, yet right there, reality is constantly slamming you in the face. Your presence is like window shopping. You're not in the store, so why should anyone care about you as a customer?

So deal with it, step away. Not be in the way. Do what you need to do and don't question the outcome. You really have no choice. You give up wanting, you're weak. You try harder, you're irritating. I see this looking glass with a story behind. The smiles, the laughter, the life of what was once within reach, is now replaced and displaced. You can ignore it, but you can't avoid it.
