flight procrastination
I'm somewhere over the ocean with my nose pressed against the airplane window, drinking the miniature detail flowing in from the moonlit ice flows below and the stars above. All of it drifts by slowly, with a laziness that speaks relaxation, and allowing me to take momentary pauses from my writing to remember why I write in the first place. I always ask for the window seat, because who would waste the chance to gaze at the world from such an incredible height.
Tonight is incredible because I have never flown on a moonlit night and I'm inclined to think tonight, like my life at the moment, is a series of incredible firsts. For the first time I feel I have chosen and executed upon something I know will make me happy--finally having the chance to really helping and making a difference in someone's life, the new lifestyle and a new opportunity to experience a life I could not have imagined but have an incredible heroin-like addiction towards.
At this moment I am currently obsessed with paving new experiences for myself and with the people around me; I am interested in conversations with no boundaries and in the meeting of minds; I am perplexed by love and by human experience; I am consumed by writing and attaching meanings to my experiences in English; I am attempting to learn the languages of those around me and what experiences produces their language--both body and verbal language. I want to understand everything, everyone and anything. I want to love and I want to live.
In short, I feel the most alive I have ever felt in my entire life. And I expect that feeling only to continue.
